WHY WE GIVE

Giving is an expression of our love for God. He desires for us to put Him first in every area of our lives including our finances. Over and over, Scripture instructs us to give back a portion of what God has so generously blessed us with and entrusted to us.

Hebrews 12:16: Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have; God is pleased by sacrifices of that kind.

 

Luke 12:34: For where your treasure is, there also will your heart be. Luke 12:48: Much will be required of the person entrusted with much, and still more will be demanded of the person entrusted with more.

​

Proverbs 3:9-10: Honor the Lord with your wealth, with first fruits of all your produce; then will your barns be filled with grain, with new wine your vats will overflow.

Your donations to St. Mary has an impact on our parish family and allows us to keep our doors open and share the Gospel with those who may not yet know our Lord. Through our mission as a parish, your donations change the lives of many, by helping our brothers and sisters in need, educating and sharing our faith, and it gives each of us the opportunity to share a portion of what God has so generously blessed us with in our earthly lives. With generosity comes a joy and peace that money cannot buy.

You can request offertory envelopes through the parish office to use weekly when you attend Mass.
